Microsoft have this week announced plans to tour the Xbox 360 ahead of the European launch planned for December 2nd. A tour of four UK cities was announced by Microsoft UK bosses, and the unveiling of the Xbox 360 at a local level will commence on November 4th in Glasgow, followed by Birmingham on November 11th, Leeds on November 18th, and London on November 25th. Several demo pods will comprise the tour's main attraction, and it will be the first time gamers get a hands-on taste of early 360 titles like Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power and Project Gotham Racing 3.
Stateside meanwhile and plans ahead of the Xbox 360's North American debut are also beginning to take shape. A launch event, drastically unlike the New York Times Square party which ushered in the Xbox, will be held around the November 22nd debut, in an unknown desert location no-less. Viral-marketing website Hex168 (yawn) hints at the event, and the show has been hinted at by MS personnel in recent interviews.
One MS staffer told Team Xbox that the event will be 'the Burning Man meets E3', and will include the chance to play the entire launch line-up and even get a look at Xbox 360 games that have yet to be announced. We'll keep you posted on this massive and ambitious launch as the days grow colder.
